Rust Jacking on a Heavy Truck frame occurs when moisture is trapped between the overlapping parts of the frame, typically between the top and bottom flanges.  As the iron oxides, the rust formed expands with tremendous force literally "jacking" or splitting the steel apart, this can shear or "pop" bolts as well as warp or crack the rails.

Rust jacking repair involves addressing rust damage that causes the vehicle frame to swell or distort.  Depending on the severity of the damage, repairs could consist of the frame being disassembled and cleaned/blasted and painted then reassembled with a new frame liner (inner rail), or in some cases where the frame repair a new frame rail slid into its place.
